It arose in its modern form as -- in the title of Karl Jaspers' book on the topic -- "The Question of German Guilt." Germany was not, at the time, in a position to pay reparations to anybody. The question that is seriously being asked here is: Should I feel guilty about what was done by Germans under nazi rule? The terrorist attacks in Jordan on November 9th were apparently supposed to be a reminder of the 9-11 attacks, because November 9th is written "9.11." in many parts of the world. I will comment more fully after i've fully read your piece. Argument is the question of German 'war guilt', with the Schlieffen plan produced as evidence of German aggression.
